L3: Customizing to perfection
Modifying a default configuration by adding a new device core to it. Assigning extra actions to buttons on the PTZ Pro, in this case adding AUX routing to the camera selector buttons.
Summary: Kasper adds selection of auxiliary sources on an ATEM switcher on the camera selector buttons - so, a true customization using Online Configuration. This leads us to go to the “Advanced Configuration” and thereby leave the default configuration for Panasonic cameras on the PTZ Pro. Kasper adds an ATEM switcher device core and for the camera selector buttons he adds the action to change Aux source to the camera selector buttons. He also demonstrates how DHCP is enabled using 0.0.0.0 for the controller IP address and how to set the IP address of the newly added device core. Kasper underlines that it could be any other switcher, like vMix and TriCaster. He uses the serial monitor to verify the IP address and connectivity of the ATEM switcher after the firmware was updated. Also he discusses a message that demonstrates how the internally stored preset was cleared as a consequence of the firmware update. Finally, to prove that it works, Kasper shows how the AUX sources change when the camera selector is operated.
